2013 Solomon Hills Pinot Noir

Hand harvested at night, and fermented with native yeast and malolactic fermentations. Then aged for 16 months in French oak; 40% new. This wine was bottled unfiltered.

Solomon Hills has deep color, with intense aromatics of red licorice, cinnamon, and oriental spices. This is backed up on the palate with vibrant acidity, and lovely tannins.

Vineyard Sites

Solomon Hills Vineyard, Santa Maria Valley. 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this Pinot Noir is planted on the western edge of the Santa Maria Valley appellation. This site is so close to the ocean, you can actually see it with your eyes and taste it in the wines.
