2013 Bien Nacido Pinot NoirHand harvested at night, and fermented with native yeast and malolactic fermentations. Then aged for 16 months in French oak; 30% new. This wine was bottled unfiltered.
Spicy dark fruit aromas jump out of the glass with cardamom, cinnamon, and pepper. The palate has more tannin, and richness than the 2011. This yields to veiled complexity with an elegant finish.
